Adding a (network) printerFirst, I'd just like to say thanks for the great OS. I've tried out several live Linux versions before, but this is the only one I've actually decided to install. I'm trying to add some printers to my system. On the desktop machines queuing is handled by the windows server, when I used to connect my Windoze laptop in to the network, I had an IP address assigned to a printer port, and printed to it that way. But now that I've loaded U-Lite I'm totally lost. I've installed the package HPlip, and thought I might need SAMBA, so I've installed that package too, but I have no idea how to configure anything. When I say configure, I mean even start HPLIP to begin the setup. |
