- A Live CD installer is available.
- Download U-lite Live CD by Torrent (LinuxTracker)
- Download U-lite Live CD by HTTP (Please use the torrent if you can.)
- Alternatively, following this how-to will install the latest version of U-lite.
- To follow this guide you will need a working network connection. The creation of an install CD is in the works.
How-to Menu:
1) Download and Burn the Mini Installer CD
2) Install the Base System
3) Log into your Base System
4) Download and run the U-lite install script
- Download and Burn the Mini Installer CD (Back to Menu)
- Download the Mini Installer CD
- First download the Mini Installer CD (From archive.ubuntu.com).
- Burn the ISO to a blank CD
- Burn the disk using a slow speed (4x recommended). For more help with burning an ISO, please check the Burning ISO Howto (From help.ubuntu.com).
- Install a Base System (Back to Menu)
- When you first boot the CD, you will see a screen similar to this:
At the boot: prompt type:
cli
Then press enter.
After downloading and installing the packages, it will ask you questions about your keyboard layout, language, location, username, and password.
- Log into your Base System (Back to Menu)

After rebooting and logging in, you will see a screen similar to this:
This is the plain command-line system that you want to continue installing U-lite.
- Download and run the U-lite install script (Back to Menu)

First download the install script with the following command:
wget http://download.tuxfamily.org/ubuntulite/nouveau/install_ubuntulite_nouveau2
Next run the install script with the following command:
sudo bash install_ubuntulite_nouveau2
Reboot into your new ubuntulite system with the following command:
sudo shutdown -r 0
