Problem with Realtek Wireless USB adapterI downloaded and installed U-Lite today on an old laptop and have a problem with my Wireless Network connection. My network adapter is a Realtek RTL 8187 Wireless 802.11G 54MB/S USB 2.0 network adapter. Wireless Connection in the Network Setting states "Roaming mode enabled" but no Wireless Networks are detected by my Network Manager Applet. How can I make sure that the Wireless USB stick is detected and installed by the system? I don't know if this is helpful, but the green light on my usb adapter flashes for a second when I connect it and then goes off. The adapter was working fine on an Ubuntu 9.04 installation on the same pc. Any help appreciated! Thank you Update: I noticed that when logging in there is an error somewhere stating that the rt8187 driver could not be registered.. |

I fixed this by downloading
I fixed this by downloading Ubuntu (9.04) Jaunty Mini Installer and installing it with the new U-lite 0.9 Alpha 2.
Congrats on the new version! It's better looking than the prev one. And my old laptop runs like a charm now =)
