Void Linux

Void describes itself as “a general purpose operating system, based on the monolithic Linux kernel,” developed entirely by volunteers and “not a modification of an existing distribution.”

It uses runit as the init system and service supervisor, and XBPS, a package manager written from scratch under a 2-clause BSD licence. It supports both the musl and GNU libc implementations, patching incompatible software where necessary.

The project says it focuses on stability rather than being bleeding-edge: “install once, update routinely and safely.” The supported architectures are not listed on the page consulted, so check the download page for your hardware.
